4CB Ballooning has a number of locations where you can start your balloon adventure. Regularly used sites are: :

Alkmaar, Alphen a/d Rijn, Amersfoort, Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Breda, Capelle a/d IJssel, Den Bosch, Ede, Eindhoven, Ermelo, Houten, Nieuwegein, Nijmegen, Rotterdam, Veenendaal.

Please phone our booking office for information on dates and locations of our flights. Our booking staff are often asked for tips on locations. We can especially recommend flights from around Amersfoort which provide wonderful views from the air. We pass over not only large towns with complex infrastructures but also wide ranges of water (the IJsselmeer) and nature reserves (Veluwe and Utrechtse Heuvelrug). From boats tossing on the waves to wild swine and deer – everything is visible from a balloon. During a twilight flight the water takes on a golden colour from the setting sun which adds an extra dimension to the flight.

It is possible to arrange a very personal flight for friends and relations, including deciding your own location to start the flight. The balloons need a large grassy field free of obstacles for takeoff. A farm field which has been recently mowed is usually fine for our purpose. Hot air balloons are covered by the same laws as the plane traffic. This means balloons cannot fly into the regular flight paths and so have to avoid coming too close to the big airports. It is also of course necessary to have some arable areas in the flight path so that the pilot can choose a safe landing place.
